The next generationwill inherit a different world. We can prepare them for it.
Human Futures is a youth learning and career-readiness program that helps young people build real skills, real projects, and real confidence for a world being reshaped by AI.
Twelve weeks in, they were shipping tools a company now runs on.
Some were 17 and still in high school. Some had been job hunting for a year. All of them shipped work that mattered. The founders on what these young people proved, and what comes next for the kids who follow them.
Learning by doing, from day one
The first cohort launched in June 2026. The full program lives at aifutures.com.
Mission
AI is changing what work looks like faster than schools can keep up. Human Futures exists to close that gap and give young people the skills and confidence to direct AI, not fear it.

Real-world apprenticeships
Practical AI at work without losing the thinking. Real problems, real feedback, and industry mentors in the room.
Builders
Ship real projects
Take a real problem from idea to a working app, and defend the decisions behind it.
Creators
Design and make
Hands-on projects with AI tools that reward curiosity, clear instructions, and honest evaluation.

First questions about AI
A first, structured look at how AI works, built around play, small groups, and adults in the room.
Build. Feedback. Rebuild. Ship.
Technical AI skills are table stakes. Human Futures deliberately develops the judgment to know when the machine is wrong, the clarity to decide what should ship, and the trust to lead people through change.
Build
Every builder starts a real project on day one. The first goal is a working prototype, because ownership teaches what worksheets cannot.
Feedback
Feedback is specific, human, and frequent. Small and often beats big and late because corrections land best while work is moving.
Rebuild
Every round of feedback feeds the next build. Judgment compounds with each pass, sharpening the instinct for what should ship.
Ship
Builders demo their work and defend their decisions. The bar is not whether it runs. It is whether it holds up in the real world.
Real growth, and a path forward.
Twenty-four interns ages 18 to 24 embedded across four PhoenixTeam departments on real client work. The program continued beyond the summer, creating a bridge from learning to long-term opportunity.

From the build floor
This summer on video: the final Showcase Showdown and AI Builder Week.
Showcase Showdown
All four pods presented their work to a judging panel: Human Futures, Core Technology & Data Solutions, Business Operations, and AI Products & Services. Q&A followed every demo, and awards closed the morning.
AI Builder Week
Four teams spent a week learning how AI works by being the machine: prediction games, exact-instruction challenges, and a build relay. Then they wrote their first specs. The rule that ran through it all: the human is the check.
Inside AI Builder Week
Four teams spent a week in the PhoenixTeam office learning how AI works by becoming part of the process themselves. Through prediction games, exact-instruction challenges, a build relay, and their first written specs, participants learned one essential rule: the human is the check.

Real skills
The first exercise happens on paper: write instructions precise enough for a machine to follow. Clear thinking is the skill. The tools come second.

Real projects
That same thinking, aimed at real AI tools. Participants prompt, correct, and iterate until the thing they imagined is actually on the screen.

Real confidence
The work goes up on the big screen, with PhoenixTeam practitioners in the room. Explaining what you built, and how you built it, is where confidence comes from.

The human is the check.

Prepared for AI, not replaced by it.

Inside Showcase Showdown
The summer ended the way real work does: in front of a room. Four pods took the floor with a working demo, a story about how it came together, and a panel of PhoenixTeam practitioners ready with questions. Awards closed the morning.

Present the work
Each pod opened with the story behind the build: the interviews, the patterns they found, and how a title became a product.

Answer the room
Q&A followed every demo. Practitioners pushed on the choices, the tradeoffs, and what the pod would do next with more time.

Awards
The Business Operations pod took first place. Every pod left with a working demo, feedback from working professionals, and a story to tell.

Four pods. One room. Make the case.

Judged by people who do this work for a living.
